Collective Vision

About InCommon

InCommon is a collective vision and call to action for global collaboration of the Church to impact the next generation by sharing Jesus with children, youth, and families.

It calls on Christian ministries, movements, and networks to affirm and adopt shared values and priorities—what we have in common.

With so much vying to divide the Church today, this vision unifies.

When believers work together, utilizing their unique giftings yet moving in the same direction, by the power of the Holy Spirit, children, youth, and families experience hope only found in Jesus.

Ministry leaders wrestle with how changes in culture impact their ministry to children, youth, and families. InCommon helps by providing a collaborative environment where diverse communities, solid relationships, and a collective vision unlock innovation to increase the effectiveness in each member’s sphere of influence.

In response to the global research study Connecting the Next Generation, InCommon was created as a number of global networks working together to develop a shared vision and framework for all those who serve this generation.

We are united in our vision but not uniform in our practice.

This collective vision centers around three values and five priorities for the Church to pursue. InCommon presents an invitation for churches, organizations, movements, networks, and individuals to adopt this shared vision and work together to strategically engage children and youth.

This concept of unity is inspired by Acts 4:32

“Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common” (ESV).
